Funding Wales is a powerful tool to search for funding, but did you know about these other sources of information and support for securing sustainable funding for your organisation:
Third Sector Support Wales provides support through other platforms as well as Funding Wales. You will find resources and online courses on a wide range of useful topics on the Knowledge Hub. Infoengine provides a directory of third sector services in Wales and highlights a wide variety of voluntary and community services that provide information and support so that you can make an informed choice. You will also be able to find contact details for your local County Voluntary Services and WCVA for further direct support.
Sell2Wales is an information source and procurement portal set up by the Welsh Government. Each year, billions of pounds worth of contracts for public sector goods and services are advertised through this site. These contracts are offered by a wide range of publicly-funded organisations including:
· the Welsh Government
· local authorities
· NHS Trusts
· colleges and universities
360giving enables funders to share information on who, where and what they fund in an accessible way that is free to use. This is a great place to research what has been funded in your area or field of work.
New version of the Funding Code of Practice published
On Monday 28 April 2025 Welsh Government published an updated code of practice for funding the third sector. The Code is a set of principles that, when applied well, ensure good practice in funding voluntary organisations.
The document is for use by Welsh Government grant managers in support of the development and delivery of voluntary sector funding, and for the voluntary sector to understand how they can expect to be funded.
The Code applies to Welsh Government funding, and Welsh Government funding delivered by other public sector organisations, such as local authorities and health boards.
